Shaman Rhythms, is an exceptional Ottawa based group of soulful musicians combining nouveau Spanish guitar with Latin percussion, creating an exquisite blend of Latin rhythms and world music with contemporary influences. They play a captivating collection of both traditional and original compositions blending Latin, Blues, Flamenco, and other world music into one energetic musical brand all their own! The group members originally come from Mexico and Central America.
Together they bring out the spirit of music as they magnetize the crowds with each performance. The response to their music and energetic sound has been tremendous. Audiences are captivated by the exotic rhythms and masterful guitar work.
The group has performed throughout Ottawa for numerous fundraising events, at the National Art Gallery and National Archives, Mercury Lounge, and various cafes and clubs, as well as for numerous corporate and private parties and weddings. They have also performed at various festivals in Ontario and Quebec, including the Ottawa Folk Festival, Latin American Festival, Ottawa's African Festival, Tulip Festival, on stage at Canada Day Celebrations on Parliament Hill, Hispanic Fiesta in Toronto, and the Circle of All Nations annual spiritual gathering.
